Walnut Ridge Llamas offer limited outside breedings to all of our herdsires. We try to offer a variety of prices to accommodate differing customer needs. The difference in prices for breeding fees reflect the marketability of the herdsires and their offspring. Our breeding fees will change from time to time based on the "perceived value" according to the market. We do not allow our herdsires to breed during July & August due to the heat in our area.

Why should you bring your females to breed with herdsires from Walnut Ridge Llamas?

Outside Breeding Advantages.....

Walnut Ridge Herdsires: The males at Walnut Ridge are nationally recognized and will add value to your crias.

Multiple Discounts: The first breeding to any of our herdsires will be at regular price. A second breeding to a herdsire of an equal or less stated price within a 12 month period will be at 1/2 price.

Live Cria Guarantee: Walnut Ridge will guarantee a live cria or you will receive a free re-breeding.

Female Guarantee: Walnut Ridge will guarantee a female cria or you will receive a re-breeding at half-price.

Insurance Cost-Sharing: Insure your female for one year to protect your investment. Walnut Ridge will pay 1/2 the cost of the insurance up to $200 for full price breeding fees and 1/4 the cost of insurance up to $100 for half price breeding fees.

Pampered Llamas: Visiting females will receive royal treatment at Walnut Ridge. They will be in the front pasture where we can watch them closely. They will receive fresh water, llama grain, orchard grass hay, and MasterBlend Show Minerals daily.

Insurance is required on all visiting females. Insurance Cost-Sharing and multiple discounts do not apply to breeding promotions.

Why should you purchase females from Walnut Ridge Llamas?

Breeding Certificate Incentives.....

Many llama farms do not offer free breedings for sold females or limit the choice of herdsires for free breedings. After much consideration, Walnut Ridge has decided to give incentive breeding certificates with each sale redeemable for any herdsire at Walnut Ridge based on the final purchase price of the female (non-transferable). Please review our breeding contract for the requirements and warranties.
The breeding certificates will be given as follows:

$ 2000 - 2499................ $750 Incentive Breeding Certificate
$ 2500 - 2999................ $1000 Incentive Breeding Certificate
$ 3000 - 3499................ $1250 Incentive Breeding Certificate
$ 3500 - 3999................$1500 Incentive Breeding Certificate

Re-Breeding Discounts for Return Customers.........

• Outside breeding customers may re-breed the same female again at half-price at any time in the future.
• Customers who purchase females from WRLF may re-breed the female to any herdsires at half-price after the cria is born, if the female is sold bred, or after the initial incentive breeding certificate is used for the first breeding after purchase.

Insurance is required on all visiting females. Insurance Cost-Sharing does not apply to return breeding discounts or breeding promotions.
