“Spooky Llama Trails & Tales” is a storytelling / musical hayride through a llama farm that started in 2010 on Walnut Ridge Llama Farm. The idea was to provide a family friendly “spooky” fall event that was appropriate for all ages. Visitors were taken on a hayride through a pasture of over 45 llamas, and then entered the woods with spooky interactive scenes of a Wendigo cave, a wood hag, scarecrow, dancing zombies and much more. We discontinued the event for two years so we could focus our time building the new “Lazy Llama Campground” on the farm. We have decided to partner with the Chuckey Ruritan again to provide the community with a family-oriented & church-friendly fall event that does not have blood, gore, devils, or people chasing you with a chain saw. The event is appropriate for the entire family including church groups, scout troops, etc. Visitors will enjoy various activities including professional storytellers, hay rides, arts & crafts, and an area to experience the beauty & gentleness of baby llamas. During both weekends, we will also have a Native American Indian encampment which will include dancing, storytelling, and a very large teepee. This special event will only run for two weekends in October, so don’t miss it! CALL 423-823-2100 FOR MORE INFORMATION.
